ARTIST BIO
Symon Hajjar is a Tulsa-based father, educator, and musician who has been writing and performing music for more than 20 years. When his kids were born, his songwriting focus shifted to making music that they would connect with and learn from. What started out as silly ditties and lullabies, has grown into a full-time career that includes songs written with children all over Tulsa and weekly interactive musical experiences. Hot Toast Music Company believes that early artistic experiences are transformative and that children should have songs for everything they find interesting and important.

Symon Hajjar combined multiple artistic mediums along with diverse collaborations to create child-friendly resources that enabled kids to interact with native Oklahoma flora and fauna in creative and meaningful ways. This project included original songs recorded live with accompanying video, interviews with local experts, and a children's "field guide" book. Hajjar presented Animals Among Us: A Hot Toast Showcase, a child-friendly event that included live creature encounters with the Oklahoma aquarium, the wasp whisperer, and a Hot Toast band performance.
