ARTIST PROJECT INFO

"This House Just Ain't No Home" (tentative title) is a documentary film centering on the Sunday Jam Sessions at the Down Home Blues Club in Rentiesville, Oklahoma. In 1988, blues duo D.C. and Selby Minner returned from the road. They transformed Minner’s grandmother’s prohibition-era hall into a lively blues club that became a local hub for socializing and live music. Selby hosted a jam session every Sunday for decades until her untimely death in the summer of 2025. This film seeks to honor her legacy, following the community she cultivated as they strive to keep the Down Home Blues Club going.
