BRAD E. ROSE

ARTIST BIO

Brad E. Rose is a multi-disciplinary artist, focusing on music composition, improvisation, and performance. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he is the founder, principal writer, and editor-in-chief of Foxy Digitalis, an online music magazine and events organization. Music and sound have been essential for him in understanding his place and relationship with the outside world. His practice is centered around creating opportunities for connection and shared experience through making music and sound. He tries to blur the line between artist and audience to show that anyone can create sonic expressions with meaning and purpose.

PROJECT INFO

The Sound Leaves is an interactive sound performance and installation based on humans’ impact on the environment and how that impact alters the sonic landscape of our world. Visitors were invited to walk and jump in the Philbrook Museum’s annual pile as Rose amplified, processed, and mixed sounds live. The resulting composition was played back on speakers installed near the leaf pile.

Event Venue: Exhibited at Philbrook Museum of Art
