Parker D. Wayne is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, and organizer living and working in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Drawing from a background in theater, drag, and fashion, Parker’s practice encompasses performance art, runway production, styling, editorial design, and social sculpture. Their work is deeply rooted in their queer and trans identity, shaped by experiences of exclusion and resilience in Middle America. After coming out and leaving a career in ministry, Parker forged a new path in the arts, using performance as both a personal ritual and a public act of resistance.
As the founder and executive director of the Oklahoma Fashion Alliance, Parker has produced numerous runway shows, community workshops, and collaborative projects, championing visibility and opportunity for queer and trans artists in Tulsa and beyond. Their performances, including the ritual piece "Prodigal Son," blend vulnerability, spirituality, and spectacle, offering audiences space for reflection and self-inquiry. Parker’s design work is known for its bold use of unconventional materials, reimagining masculinity and identity through fashion.
Recipient of awards including the Vision Arts 5 Grant and the Artists Creative Fund, Parker is dedicated to fostering inclusive creative ecosystems and inspiring others to embrace authenticity, courage, and collective transformation
